Sophie MacCarthy's ceramics are thrown and finely turned. With her sensitive eye for form and painterly use of coloured slips, combined with stencils and wax resist, she creates distinctive pieces which explore many themes; figurative and abstract, often relating to the natural world.
She has exhibited widely over the last 20 years and has had many successful solo shows.
