The ideas for my work arise from drawings and observations, developing, combining and abstracting different aspects of the natural and man made world. I make fine elegant forms using bone-china and porcelain clays, my passion is carving and exploring light, shade and translucency. The work is vitrified and finished by sanding to achieve a washed pebble-like surface.
