I make saltglazed teapots and other pouring and drinking vessels. My original training as an aeronautical engineer forms a strong influence on my work both in the way the pots are made from thrown and slipcast 'components' and in the sense of physical and visual balance I aim to achieve in their design

Professional background and training

BSc(Hons) Aeronautical Engineering at Manchester University followed by a career in Social Work as a practitioner, manager and university lecturer. Ceramics training at the University of Westminster, graduating in 1997
